Features of French pronunciation differ from those of English and should be learned to improve comprehension of spoken French. You can’t get this from a textbook, and audio courses are not comprehensive enough to learn from effectively.

French language lessons that are boring, one-dimensional, and ineffective will not hold your interest long enough for you to become fluent. Utilizing a program that incorporates writing, reading, listening and speaking is the best way to learn, so a more well rounded product than a book or audio CD is essential.
